Intermediate Phase
Vista Nova accommodates children with special educational needs and barriers to learning. We adhere to the National Curriculum and Assessment Policy Statement (CAPS), which we adapt in order to make it accessible to our learners.
Our learners write all the prescribed Formal Assessment Tasks set by the Western Cape Education Department, but may receive special assessment accommodations in order for each learner to achieve individual academic success.
Our Intermediate Phase learners also enjoy a variety of cultural and sporting activities which forms part of the extra mural programme. Cultural activities include dancing, art, chess and knitting. Sport plays a significant role in the holistic development of children and in the Intermediate Phase we offer running/walking, athletics, hockey, table tennis and soccer.
